From Corporate to Freelance Success Let me share how I did it so you can too.
A Decade in Corporate: After ten years in finance, rising from assistant to department head, I started questioning my future. I pictured myself three or five years ahead, still at the same desk, watching the seasons change through my window and worrying about vacation approval. It didn’t excite me.
The Turning Point: In 2019, I met project managers who worked from anywhere, set their own income goals, and focused on growth. That’s when I realized I wanted the same. I began exploring how to shift careers, starting from scratch without knowing my worth in a competitive market.
Freelance Success Story: After six months of learning, branding, and applying for jobs, I landed my first contract for just $100 a week. It was a huge milestone. All my sleepless nights and anxiety paid off. Since 2019, freelancing has been my path to a dream lifestyle of flexibility and financial freedom.
My Mission: When friends and colleagues saw my shift from 9-5 to freelancing, they asked for my help. I started with two people, then 20, then over 100. It was inspiring to see how my journey could boost someone else’s life and confidence. In 2024, I launched my freelance coaching business to share my experience and passion, helping others—whether they’re just starting or already freelancing successfully.
